Roulette Wheel Layout

Here at Roulette Wheel Layout, we aim to show you everything that you’ll need to get started with Roulette; from the Layout of the Wheel (see below), to how to place bets and more. Feel free to read the articles on the site, then when you’re ready, why not head over to one of the casinos that we’ve hand selected for you.

The Roulette Wheel Layout appears to be fairly random – it doesn’t just go round the wheel in order from 0 to 36, rather it seems to jump about all over the place. The first pattern that is apparent in the Roulette Wheel Layout is that apart from the zero(s), which are usually coloured in green, the numbered slots alternate between red and black. After that, the sequence does not seem to have any obvious pattern; odd numbers do not necessarily follow even ones, the numbers do not increase in sequence, etc.

The order for a particular game variation is the same. If we look at the Layout more closely, we can start to notice patterns. On the European Roulette Wheel, we can draw an imaginary line to cut the wheel in half, that runs through the zero. Moving clockwise from the zero, this half has the top 9 red numbers, whilst the other half of the wheel has the top value black numbers. This results in a broadly even distribution of high and low numbers around the wheel.

Although we can spot patterns, it will not affect the randomness of the wheel or the outcome of the game, especially online. This is because in Online Roulette, the number the ball lands on is determined by the Random Number Generator which then tells the graphics part of the program what number to make it seem like the ball has landed on. This in turn means that each number has an equal chance of being selected.
